The opening of charter flights between Russia and Egypt is postponed to April 2021

As you know, the Egyptian authorities have fulfilled all the requirements of Russia to ensure security for Russian tourists at the countrys airports. This, in turn, was confirmed by Russian specialists who were on a control mission in Egypt earlier this year.
In addition, an agreement was reached on a very sensitive issue for Russia. Egypt has pleaded guilty to the plane crash of a Russian airliner over the Sinai Peninsula in 2015 and is ready to pay compensation to the families of all passengers who died.
The issuance of a permit for flights to Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh by the Russian airline NordWind was also a good sign.
The Egyptian agreement on tourism and the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Egypt, during which the issues of resuming full-fledged flights will be considered.
# Egypt, in turn, currently offers Russian tourists warm weather, reasonable prices for holidays and traditionally high service.

So far, unfortunately, tourists from Russia have to get to Egypt by charters through Istanbul and Minsk to Cairo, and there by buses to the resorts. The path is not yet the fastest, but at the moment the only one. </P >
In my opinion, all obstacles to opening direct charter flights between Russia and Egypt have been removed.
Time will show whether the forecasts of the Egyptian experts will come true, but in the meantime, Russian tourists are actively booking tourist trips to Turkey, because according to the Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Ersoy, Turkey will most likely be able to refuse to require tourists to negative PCR test at the border.
