And the age of 80-100 years, which is attributed to the poplar, is pure invention.
Moreover, it has already been officially proven that this poplar was planted in the post-war period, and the growths on the trunk are no more than traces of the disease.

In order for this poplar not to disappear without a trace over time, it was literally recently cloned and a seedling was planted at the very foot of the Mamayev Kurgan.
